St. Elizabeth Seton’s ‘All You Can Eat’ Fish Fry starts March 8

It’s one of the biggest crowd-pleasing fish fry events in Carmel and it happens every year during Lent. This year’s Knights of Columbus (Council 12387) Fish Fry will kick off Friday, March 8, and run for six Fridays (Mar 8, 15, 22, 29 and April 5 & 12). The Knights will serve thousands of pounds of Alaskan fish to thousands of hungry visitors.

The “All You Can Eat” style of Fish Fry dinners is available from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. each of those Fridays during Lent and the event is open to the public. In addition to traditional sit-down dinners inside the Church, the Knights also offer curbside pick-up for those in a hurry. St. Elizabeth Seton is located at the intersection of 106th Street and Haverstick Road in Carmel.

Cost for a dinner is $11, which includes a choice of baked salmon with a flavorful marinade, crabby cakes, or all-you-can-eat fried Pollock. Each meal includes french fries, apple sauce, coleslaw, a cookie and iced tea or lemonade. Green beans are served instead of french fries for the salmon dinner.

A children’s macaroni and cheese meal and individual cheese pizza with drink ($4.00 each) and a Kid’s Fish meal is available for $5.00 each for kids 12 and under! A new addition to the menu this year is a shrimp cocktail appetizer for $5.00.

“We feel honored and blessed to offer these delicious dinners not only to our parishioners, but to visitors who come for a great meal and fellowship,” said Larry Schulz, publicity chairman for the event. “In fact, a good percentage of the people who attend our fish dinners are from outside of the parish.”

All of the money raised by the Knights of Columbus go toward charitable programs including local food pantries, Boy Scouts, Gibault Home for troubled youths, seminarian activities, Pro-Life activities, Rosaries for soldiers, and a variety of other community projects.

Mark your calendars for the upcoming Fish Fry dates: Mar 8, 15, 22, 29 and April 5 & 12. Doors open in the Church Social Hall at 5 p.m. and service continues until 7:30 p.m. Drive-up service is also available.

Join us at St. Elizabeth Seton and enjoy some Hoosier hospitality at our parish during one or more of the six Lenten Fish Fry dinners. You’ll be glad you came!
