The Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology is starting the process of revising the statewide Cultural Resources Management Plan for 2020-2026. As the State Historic Preservation Office for Indiana, the DHPA performs a number of activities mandated by the National Historic Preservation Act and in exchange are eligible for an annual share of the Historic Preservation Fund appropriation - this year, Indiana’s share will be about $974,000.
To be sure the programs, outreach efforts, educational materials, and evaluation criteria for awarding pass-thru grants remain responsive to the needs of citizens and communities throughout Indiana, they are gathering public input.
