Carmel Show Choirs Win Big Again at the "Best of the Midwest" Competition

On February 17, Carmel High School show choirs once again represented our community with excellence and class at the “Best of the Midwest” Show Choir Competition at Center Grove High School.

Both the Carmel Ambassadors and the Accents took Grand Champion as well as Best Vocals and Best Choreography in the Tier I Mixed and Women’s Division respectively.

Carmel's New Edition earned a respectable 2nd Place in the Tier II Mixed Division to Fishers High School’s top choir, Electrum. Each of the choirs was backed by a talented and dedicated student band whose contribution cannot be overlooked.

The Ambassadors, under the direction of Kyle Barker, and the Accents, under the direction of Kathrine Kouns, have just gotten their competition season underway. The groups will now take their respective "sets" to 3 more competitions: Franklin Central’s Hoosier Show Choir Classic this Saturday, February 24; Solon Show Choir Invitational in Solon, Ohio on Saturday, March 3; and the Los Alamitos Xtravaganza at Los Alamitos High School in California on Saturday, March 17. Competition season ends with the traditional community concert called "An Evening with the Ambassadors and Accents,” on March 24 at 7 pm in CHS' Dale E. Graham Auditorium. ALL are invited to view the competition sets as well as many other show-stopping numbers. Tickets are on sale now online at m/store/events/279
