Gazebo Concert Series Celebrates 25 Years with The Bishops and Jurassic Park

Ready to get your dinosaur dance on? Join us TONIGHT as we celebrate T-Rex style the 25th anniversary of the Gazebo concerts and everyone’s favorite prehistoric flick, Jurassic Park, which is also turning 25 this year! Activities added include a Plinko and Connect Four game including a face painter and special appearance by T-Rex himself. Bring your picnics, friends, blankets and chairs.

The popular Summer Family Concert Series at the Gazebo will celebrate the 25th year for the free outdoor concert series on Wednesday August 1. The Bishops will be performing a variety of crowd-pleasing tunes and a late nigh t movie will follow on the lawn featuring the original Jurassic Park.

Attendance at the free concerts has increased steadily since the series began in 1993. Now, as many as 2,500 people attend each Wednesday. The Summer Family Concert Series at the Gazebo is presented by the Carmel Fountain Square Committee, a non-profit volunteer organization and is fully funded by local government, individual and corporate sponsors.

Wednesday Evenings Through September 26

August 1 – The Bishops (Sponsored by Indiana Members Credit Union)

25th Anniversary Celebration - Always a great entertainment choice; The Bishops bring entertainment, musical variety, professional-level musicianship and sound – a show that many label “the best cover band touring Indianapolis today.”

August 8 – Mike & Joe (sponsored by Jennifer McLean Real Estate at Century 21 Scheetz)

Mike and Joe is a really good modern rock cover band based out of Chicago. It's kind of as simple as that. "Kind of," except for the fact that the band is widely regarded by its peers as one of the very best sounding cover bands in the entire nation. It's impressive.

August 15 – Stella Luna & the Satellites (Sponsored by Sigma Builders)

Stella Luna & the Satellites have created a buzz with their high-energy live shows performing today’s current hits, crowd favorites and timeless classics from many different styles of music.

August 22 – The Woomblies Rock Orchestra (Sponsored by Sigma Builders)

This band’s set list includes a wide selection of classic rock, soul and R&B hits, all with the backing of a string orchestra.

August 29 – Soul Street

With a fat brass section, a tight rhythm pocket and scorching vocals, Soul Street entertains by generating recognizable and dance-able renditions of your past R&B/soul favorites!

Sept. 5 – Mix Tape

Indy's premier 90's party band... with a few new and classic tunes too!

Sept. 12 – Midnight Noon

From their cowboy boots to their down home roots…. Country music has seeped into their veins right from the Southern Indiana soil. They grew up on well water, bluegrass pickin’ and gospel singin.’

Sept. 19 - Endless Summer Band

The nation's most IN DEMAND Variety Band now in our 25th year. ESB is xtreme musical variety playing smash hits from yesterday and today. High energy choreography and AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION!! HUNDREDS of special events and wedding receptions every year!

Sept. 26 - The Doo! Indianapolis based "The Doo" aka Zanna-Doo! is a high energy dance band providing soulful vocals and rock solid beats that keep fans moving all night long!
