Cake Bake Shop now open at Carmel City Center
Local bakery and cafe, The Cake Bake Shop officially opened their doors at their second location at Carmel City Center on July 1. The new restaurant is located at 800 S. Rangeline Road, Hanover Place, Suite 260 on the interior plaza in the United Fidelity Bank Building of Carmel City Center.
Guests can stop in for lunch or dinner or visit the bakery for to-go items Sunday through Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Guests can also make reservations by calling 317-257-2253.
The Cake Bake Shop is a café and dessert shop serving soups, salads and other savory items, in addition to a wide array of exquisite and award-winning desserts. They make several different cakes every day, with many flavors rotating by season. One cake that is always on the menu is the Earls Court Chocolate Cake, which has earned them numerous accolades, including Best Cake at London’s Cake and Bake Show.
They also present daily a selection of cookies, bars and pastries, as well as an array of seasonal pies.
Gwendolyn Rogers is the owner and founder of The Cake Bake Shop, having opened in Broad Ripple on Carrollton Ave., in 2014. The Cake Bake Shop at Carmel City Center retains the intimate, elegant charm of the original spot, while adding twice as much square footage, along with outdoor dining and plenty of free parking.

The Cake Bake Shop occupies over 5,000 square feet of restaurant space in the United Fidelity Bank Building in Carmel City Center. Surface parking is available on plaza level (accessible from City Center Drive), in the underground garage (accessible from Range Line Road as well as City Center Drive) and in the Veterans Way garage located just south of the Cake Bake Shop.
Gwendolyn Rogers is a local Indianapolis resident who has built an international following. Her passion for baking cakes and desserts for family and friends quickly outgrew her family kitchen and eventually became the Cake Bake Shop. Every detail, down to the packaging, is carefully considered. Ms. Rogers travels the world for the best, high quality ingredients and is proud to serve her world-renowned desserts to customers in the Indianapolis and surrounding areas.
The Cake Bake Shop opened in 2014 in the Broad Ripple neighborhood of Indianapolis. They serve savory lunch items and specialty desserts, along with premium coffees and teas as well as wine and beer.
