CHS makes ESPN Honor Roll with Special Olympics program
Carmel High School is one of just 34 schools across the country to make the 2019 ESPN honor roll, part of their Special Olympics unified champions program. Carmel is one of several Special Olympics Unified Champion Schools, meaning they demonstrate commitment to inclusion by meeting 10 standards of excellence. The Unified Champion Schools have an inclusive school climate and exude a sense of collaboration, engagement and respect for all members of the student body and staff; these standards developed by a national panel of leaders from Special Olympics and the education community. To be recognized by ESPN, the schools have to have met the 10 standards and have been nominated by their state's Special Olympics program.
