Skating sessions/special events at Ice at Center Green


The Ice at Center Green in the heart of beautiful Carmel is going strong until the first of March, providing a fun and affordable way for families, friends and co-workers to get outdoors and enjoy Carmel’s chilly winters together.

Regular skating sessions are offered every Thursday through Sunday. Check the website for times and to sign up for a session.

Special Events:

The 2020 Festival of Ice

Features carving demonstrations by professional ice carvers, a fast-paced carve-off competition, a Carmel Fire Department chili cook-off, an ice bar with luge, skating to a live DJ, and more! Grab your family, friends or significant other for our January 2020 event and join the fun!

Friday, Jan. 10 - Ice Carving demonstrations on Main Street (4-8 p.m.) in the Arts & Design District

Saturday, Jan. 11 - Carmel Fire Department Chili Cook-Off (noon - 3 p.m.) at The Ice at Center Green; Ice Carving demonstration/competition (noon- 5 p.m.); Ice Bar with Luge (noon-5 p.m.) *Adults only*; Live DJ (noon - 5 p.m.)

Sunday, Jan. 12 - Ice Carve-Off competition (noon-3 p.m.) at The Ice at Center Green; Live DJ (noon – 3 p.m.)

MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR DAY

JANUARY 20 - Sponsored by Carmel United Methodist Church.

In the spirit of community giving, as was Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s vision, the first 250 skaters for the 3:30 p.m. session will receive ice skating and skate rental FREE. Please note that this applies to the 3:30 p.m. session only. Thank you Carmel United Methodist Church for sponsorship. ‍*Please donate a can of food to the Carmel United Methodist Church Food Pantry as a token of appreciation for the free session. Food items will be collected by the Carmel Mayor’s Youth Council and delivered to the Carmel United Methodist Church Food Pantry.

FEBRUARY 14 - Bring your sweetheart and enjoy 2-for-1 skate admissions all day! Not valid for online purchase. Box office purchase only.

CARMEL WINTER GAMES

FEBRUARY 27-29 - Carmel Winter Games builds real team spirit through on-ice, non-skating competitive games like human hungry hippo, human curling and an ice trike relay while supporting the Carmel United Methodist Church Food Pantry. In addition, you can skate with the Indy Fuel staff and cheer on your favorite Hometown Hero during competitive games between Carmel’s finest, the Carmel Fire Department and Carmel Police Department. Bring your whole family and enjoy the fun!
